| Marlene enjoys a well-deserved reputation as an encourager, educator, and leader. She is Professor Emeritus and Adjunct Professor (Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research) at the University of Regina. |
| During a distinguished career she has been consultant to the Regina Board of Education, Full Professor, Associate Dean, and Chair of Graduate Studies at the University of Regina and has worked as well for the Saskatchewan Department of Education. |
| Proficient in both official languages, Marlene is actively involved in her church as well as a number of other volunteer commitments in her community. |
| She is married to Elroy and they have a grown family. |
